1lb dried fruits
1/2 lb sugar
1 lb self rasing flour
1 tablespoon marmalade
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
1 1/2 cups hot strong tea

Put fruit and sugar in bowl.
Add tea and leave to stand over night.
Next day add marmalade , beaten eggs and salt.
Then add flour and spice.
Line the tin with greasproof paper (cover with foil)
Cook on number 3/4 gas (325F 170 C)
Bake for 1 3/4 hours.
